The EU AI Act requires providers and deployers to ensure their staff and others operating AI systems have a sufficient level of AI literacy. This means people understand what a system does, its limits, and how to use its outputs appropriately.
In practice this is a training and awareness obligation, scaled to the role and the risk of the systems involved, and a natural extension of existing security awareness programs.
